Rebel Leader Exile (RLE) Dataset (1945 - 2023)
I introduce the Rebel Leader's Exile (RLE) Dataset, which captures exile events from 1945 to 2023 for all rebel leaders who rose to power between 1945 and 2011 across all civil conflict dyads recorded in the Non-State Actor Dataset. The dataset codes the timing and locations of exile, tracking whether and where rebel leaders relocated, including moves to other foreign nations or returns to their home country.

Universal Jurisdiction Dataset (1946-2023)
With Michael Gergeni (Undergraduate Research Mentee, Co-author)
We introduce the first time-varying, cross-national dataset on universal jurisdiction (UJ). This dataset details states' adoption of UJ within domestic law, typically enacted through criminal and penal procedure codes. The data is sourced from the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Database, curated by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), which compiles national legislation pertinent to UJ. This text-based database has been digitized to systematically document variations in the national legal adoption of UJ. In analyzing each piece of legislation incorporating UJ, our dataset also delineates the scope of its application: whether the law applies narrowly to individuals currently residing within the state's territories, or more expansively to individuals outside the state’s territory.
